ABOUT ARTS IN IOWA

ARTSinIOWA.com was developed to provide an affordable way for Iowa artists to have a web presence. It was designed, produced, and is hosted/maintained by Etomic Power, a web development company owned and operated by Mark Doolittle.

THE DETAILS - Costs/What's included

$90 per year
$50 One time set-up fee

Includes:
• Easy to access page: artsiniowa.com/yourname
• Up to 6 thumbnail images with corresponding larger image (size of larger image is based on file size but can be no larger than 550 pixels on the long side).
• Text to accompany the images. Within reason, this can be whatever you would like, for example: biography, resume, technique, image specifics, available for sale, or any combination. You decide!
• Text and monthly updates for the "What's Happening" column on your page. The heading for that column is flexible, as is the content. It could be a list of galleries representing your work, shows, current projects, etc.
• A forwarding email address: "yourname@artsiniowa.com" (forwards to your MSN, AOL, HotMail, YaHoo, etc. email account).

OPTIONAL
A POP email account at yourname@artsiniowa.com. This is a full-fledged account allowing you to access your email on the ARTSinIOWA.com server. This includes the ability to access your email via a web browser (webmail) as well as via an email client such as Outlook Express.
$15 per year

If you would like to include additional images/pages or customize this in any way, please call and we'll discuss.

Via Etomic Power, we can also design and build a customized web site of your own, www.yourname.com, including full E-commerce capabilities.

CHANGES (after intial set-up)

Changing an image:
$8 if supplied in digital format.
$15 if we need to scan (print, slide, or neg).

Text Change:
$8 if supplied in digital format.
$40/hour if we need to type it.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
In the intial set-up we will accept either digital images, slides or prints that we scan (no charge for scanning). We can use your digital images "as is" if they are no larger than 550 pixels on the long side and they are properly compressed (generally under 20k). If they are too large, we will resize and/or recompress them but reworking a jpeg file and then recompressing degrades the image quality. We will need to do this, to create the thumbnails, but at that small size the recompression usually isn't noticed. Questions? Please call, Mark 515-277-1799 or Email.
